I really enjoyed the film “Most Likely to Succeed”. It demonstrated a new way of teaching, as well as why they have gone in that certain direction. The students were able to spend their time creating something that they were passionate about, I personally think that students learn a lot when they get to dive into something that sparks interest. I think that a system similar to this could work in other schools, but it needs to be made more clear that the teachers are still there to help them and that they aren’t all alone. It seemed like several of the students were feeling a bit too much pressure and stress for their age. It is amazing that they were able to achieve such great things in high school, but maybe the stakes were a bit too high and there was too much weight on them. This being said I still do think that independence and confidence is an important skill for children and teens to have.
